Spam Removal Lists / Global Unsubscribe Services

Do you actually believe the myth someone can remove your email address from the spammers database? If you do then I have a great bridge I can sell you :-)

Spammers do not care, they email everyone they can get an email address for and many times it isn't even a valid address. They know it's spam and they also know that almost everyone does not want to receive it. All they care about is making money.

Speaking of money the "so called" unsubscribe services don't have a problem asking you for yours. Some of them claim to be affiliated with government consumer protection agencies or antispam organizations. None are, many are run by the spammers themselves and they are scams designed to separate you from your hard earned money.

If they can remove you from a few lists then they must be the spammer using those lists or they are part of the spammers organization. In any event you surely do not want to do business with a spammer.

If these sites actually worked then all the spammers lists would be almost empty! Do you think this is what a spammer wants?

In our opinion the following sites should be avoided (if they are still up and scamming, oops, I mean running)

DMA's opt-out E-mail Preference Service. See What Spamhaus has to say about the Direct Marketing Associations Remove site:

UnsubscribeNow.org

Looks like a stop spam organization run by spammers.

This scam site seems to be down and converted or taken over by someone else. Seems as if they had problems with the MI Attorney General also.
Here are some old NANAE posts about them!

Another scam site gone the way of the dinosaur. When will they ever learn?

Just like the rest. Another scam down the drain...
